My sister in law got those too, I didn't get them but she said that it is muscle memory too. She does a lot of research about everything so I believe her.

I still get those after a year. They are phantom kicks. I would think that it is muscle memmory, kind of like how an amputee can sometimes still feel their now gone limb still move.

Hey Sonya, I remember the first time I felt those "kicks" right after my son was born. Scared the crap out of me at first, cuz I seriously thought I might be pregnant again or something lol. Anyway, I've actually heard a lot of women talk about feeling those same "kicks" after having a baby. Like the other ladies said, it's just your insides getting back to normal. :)

It's normal. Probably just your insides still getting back to normal now they aren't being squashed by another human.

I had the same experience for a while after the birth of my children too. I assumed it was muscle spasms from pregnancy, or just my body parts trying to get back to their normal non-pregnancy position. It eventually went away. I asked my midwife at my 6 week appointment and she said it was pretty normal as your body is trying to return to normal.
