I had the same problem..It was sooo rough. I had the hardest time breats feeding my left shoulder and back would go numb from pain! Actually not to scare you but I still have that problem 1year later. The pain in my chest and rib area is from really deep knots and I believe the back pain is from the lack of core stregth due to having the under layer of the abs cut! It take time to get your back stregnth back try to do light ab excersices and massages at 8 weeks or when you feel ready! I have heard a chiroprator or accupunction does wonders.....BUT see you doctor first to make sure of what it is!!!!!!!!! I have been to the docs 2 times...the pain in my chest and ribs feel like a heart attack someitmes!!!

Also have had terrible back pain after c-section, been going to a chiropractor and it is slowly getting better.

your baby is 4 weeks old lol you're probably feeling the carrying the baby around more than anything. breastfeeding or constant bottle feeding posture can make your back hurt too.

I didn't have any pain after my c-section, except the normal around the wound, but by 4wks it was pretty well gone. I'd call the dr to have a check-up done, just to be sure. :-)

I've never had a c-section, but I know my back and ribs felt like they hurt, but it was the muscles ... the back pain could be from the epidural and whatever else they give you during a c-section. If the pain is too bad then call your OB, or if you can wait it out wait till your 6wk check up... if that is how long you wait after having a c-section as well...
