Hello all-
I have a 3 year old son and just had a little girl back in October. I was able to lose the baby weight with my son, but the weight doesn't want to come off as quickly this time around. Any thoughts or tips would be gladly appreciated!

Thanks so much for all of your replies. I totally agree with cutting back on my portion sizes. I am currently doing Turbojam, I think I need to have more patience and give my body some time. It's hard when I want it now!

Hi ladies...oh boy, can I ever relate with you all. I gained 40 lbs with my 2nd (45lbs with my first) and it's that last little 15 or so lbs that just won't shake off. Well, after having a play date with a girlfriend of mine and seeing how great she looked after 2 kids...she reintroduced the Beachbody at home workout programs to me. My husband and I had done a few of them before (Power 90 and Slim in 6) years ago, but quite frankly, forgot about them. Anyway, Tony Horton, who is the trainer/mastermind behind Power 90, created another great 90 day program called P90X. That's been out for years now, but I started it about 4 months after my son and I was able to lose 20 lbs, 14 inches and 10% body fat in just that 90 days! I loved it so much, that I did it 2x's! It's an incredible workout program, extreme, but feasible for most average athletes. They have a TON of other home programs that are just as effective, fun and will guarantee results.

I still have some of the weight left to lose, but only about 9 lbs, and I gained approximately 44lbs when pregnant with my boy. I has a tough pregnancy and could hardly walk at the end of it, so I had no chance of working out when carrying him.

Now, I work out once a week and eat normally again. I think that excercise and a healthy diet is the key. I know I could eat better, but I am having a bit of trouble with that one, and I think thats why I still have a bit of a tummy left.....

I hope to get some more motivation now that its getting closer to me going back to work, and I plan to start excercising twice a week as well...

but if anyone has any other good ideas to help with the last few lbs, please share :)

best of luck!

I have just lost 21 pounds and the way I did is a detox diet called the Martha's Vinyard diet. It is a very hard diet but it works and the weight came off. Let me know if you have any questions and I wish you well.

I know how you feel, if thats any consolation. I'm 25 with 3 children - a boy nearly 3 and half, a girl 20 months and another girl 5 months. Although they are so beautiful, i am very depressed about my weight, never shifted any from any of my angels. I went from a skinny size 10 to almost size 16 with my last one. Now i'm having the injection, i'm struggling in size 16 after starting to shrink to a 14, which is disheartening. I can't shift the weight at all now. So if you do find someone who knows, please pass on the information! xx

I'm not sure if it's different with your second, I've only had one. I had him back in May and I gained 66lbs! The first 40 came off pretty effortlessly somehow. I think most of it was water because I retained a LOT. But since then I've just been watching what I eat and mainly HOW MUCH I eat. I remember taking full advantage of eating for two lol and so when it was time to eat for one again I had to be conscious about it. It's definitely been a slow process though and I'm dying to hear some tips myself.. good luck!!
