I started seeing my periods again 2 months after my baby was born. It came regular for 3 months and it hasn't come for this month yet! Is this normal?

I had my daughter a year ago i BF but not exclusively and still havent had a period. We would really like to have another baby but im totally confused about ovulation//fertility, when to take a test and everything else.

It just takes time for your body to get back to normal again. It's still healing.

My first period came after 2 months and then came regular for 2 or 3 months. Then now comes every 2 months.

It is normal for your period to be "abnormal," or not occur monthly, for the first 1-2 years post-partum. If you are breastfeeding, you might not have one at all for over a year after having your first one or two post-partum. It's the same if you are on any type of birth control.

I'm breastfeeding and didn't get my period until my baby was 6 or 7 months old and only had one regular period. I had been on birth control since my 6 week post partum checkup but my period came a week before it was supposed to and then i haven't had a regular one since then...just a little spotting a couple times. (i've taken 3 pregnancy tests just to make sure-all of them negative)

if you have always been regular and never shipped then take a pregnancy test I was regular from 4 months postpartum on to 8 months postpartum ,when my daughter was 8 month old I missed a period and took a test and found out I am pregnant now I am 23 weeks pregnant

After my first baby, I bled for approx 10 days and then didn't get my period again until she was 6 months old. Having a baby does all sorts of things to your body and it will catch up and regulate in it's own time :)

After my daughter Sara was born my period has never been the same, that was almost 19 months ago. Some times it's really heavy other times it's super light. It can last 3 days to 8 days. Every month is a new experience. Give your body some time to heal, it is a tramatic event that your body goes through inorder to bring new life into the world.

My periods were regular after birth, but it was nine months postpartum before I got any.

My son is 16 months old and it was bad the first few months with spotting all the time, then it went to super heavy for 3 or 4 with cramping finally I got an IUD when he was 12 months and that has made my periods completely go away. It amazing what hormones do!

After my first baby, mine were regular after my second they haven't (i've been as late as 9 days) but I was told that was because I didnt ovulate that month. If it's been regular then I dont see why it would stop again unless you were pregnant... Or that's just me stirring the pot lol :)

i had two periods within a month and a half's time but now that i've been on the pill i havent had another one yet (which i'm not supposed to for another week or so) i talked to my OB about it because i'm also bleeding very heavily when i do have my period and she said to give your body time. she said pregnancy does weird things! but you could always talk to your doc if that would make you feel better and see if they have any advice for you...hope it gets better!

after having my son, i had a period every other week for 3 months, then no period for 3 months, and then a constant light bleeding for 2 months. i went on birth control (the patch) and it seems to have regulated it. it's normal for your period to be strange after having a baby
