Because of housing siutations my sons crib has been in our room since day one, but he has slept in his crib since day one. We are moving in a week and he will be in his own room then.

Do it when you feel you should.

You should do it when you feel it's right for you, your husband and your baby. We moved my son at 8 weeks and I will say that I think it's a little easier to do when they are still young like that, but if you're not comfortable moving him yet, you shouldn't do that. There are no set rules for these things. You just have to do what works for your family and nobody can judge that better than you.
