Agree with both comments above - patience. It's all part of learning. You can still give mashed so you know she is eating, but offer finger food aswell. Even if she just plays with it, puts it in her mouth, sucks it, spits it out etc - it's all part of learning. The more she's offered the more she'll get used to the texture etc. It makes for messy times but all for a good cause! :)

As the comment above says, patience is the key here. Each baby develops at their own rate :) One thing that helped my little guy was the teething biscuits you can buy. THey suck and chew them until they get soft, then the cookie naturally crumbles into their mouth allowing them to swallow. This was an AWESOME bridge for my baby in learning to eat solids. But no worries, yours will catch on no matter what! :) good luck!!

Be patient! My 1st girl at 13mths still considered cereal and breastmilk her main food. Soon after she picked up with her eating and now at 21/2 yrs is enjoying everything. My 11mth old now is just starting self feeding and lumpy food. If its a little lumpy she wouldn't take it so eventually I decided to try chopped up pieces, whole macaroni, beans, cheerios etc. and shes likes it better than anything mashed.Good Luck.
