I haven't had this issue with my son. We switched to a toddler bed when he was 20 months old. I close his bedroom door at night so he can't wander around if he does get up. If he gets up to play, I go in an tell him "it is time for night night, get in your bed". Then he gets in. If he refuses, I ask "u need a diaper change?" or "u need a drink?" if he needs one of either, I do it and lay him back in bed. I put his covers on and say "go night night". He generally goes back to sleep. Once in a while, he seems achey. So, I'll give him a dose of Motrin and sit up with him for 15-20 mins so it'll kick in. They get growing pains, so sometimes they just feel bad. Other than that, you are just going to have to put your foot down. After a week or so, she'll get the hint. Don't go in and lay with her unless she is actually afraid. You know her mad cry from her afraid cry. If she's just mad, she'll go to sleep after a while. It won't hurt her to cry. Good luck!
