My son is 6 weeks old and has severe acid reflex he is on zantac 3 times a day but it doesn't seem to help they've switched his formula a few times on worked good but it made him very consipated so that wasnt good...i havent heard of Reglan im pretty sure there is another drug you can try ask your doctor im asking mine because the zantac dose not help!

if you feel unsafe using a medication, it is your right as a mother to ask the doctor for an alternative. there are many alternatives for reflux. my daughter did well just with zantac. she did the same thing...choking in her bassinette. alot of kids need something stronger. zantac is the first drug they try though. i think because it's the safest. either way, don't let the doctors intimidate you. tell them you don't feel comfortable with the drug and you want something else.

My 6 mon old was in the emergency room not to long ago with mild throwing up and i was worried because she had not pooped in three days. So i called the emergency hotline and they said to bring her on in, the ER doctor also prescribed reglan as well her case was very minor compared to your daughter but i to was very concerned about those warnings. I don't know whether i did the right thing or not but i never got it filled. When in doubt i just don't. I did however take reglan three times daily whenever i was pregnant with Kara just last year, i never had side affects that i know of but babies bodies are so different. I would defiantly ask her doctor and also look up reglan on the internet, see if that pulls up anything. Wishing your baby girl the VERY best and i hope you get your answer soon.
