My 9 1/2 month old won't eat more than a couple bites of food!

My 9.5 month old daughter has always been great at breastfeeding. And she always asks my husband and I for bites of our food.
When it comes to feeding her real food for meals she only eats a few bites and then she is "over it".
We have tried doing puréed food, bite sized pieces so she can feed herself, and sharing our meals. She just won't eat very much real food, but I know she likes it.
This morning, for example, she ate 4 spoonfuls of Malt o Meal, and was done. But then she wants to nurse. If I coax her to eat more she gets upset and I don't want to "force feed".
Advice?

I would just follow her lead, its great that she is trying foods but until they are one food is for fun which means nursing is still her main food. Dont make feeding a stressful or upsetting time as this can lead to her really not getting her back up or it. I would just keep trying her with her foods and make it fun for her to be trying things. Try to give her food before nursing but when she says shes done then give her a nurse. Best of luck with it all
