If your concerned and your baby seems uncomfortable you can buy 100% baby prune apple juice and mix 2 oz with 2 oz of water and you can give that to your baby. My pediatrician said at 3 months its ok to occasionally give watered down juice. I heard negative things about karo syrup not being good for babies. There are rumors it can lead to botulism. Some sources say this isn't true, others say otherwise. Either way, Prune juice works great and there's no risk. Your baby will poop within 24 hours and then sleep like a happy poop free baby.

Breastfed babies can go 2-3 weeks without pooing and it's not a problem. Just means that all the milk is being used up!

When I first brought my baby home she only pooped every three to four days. I just kept track of every time she pooped and let my doctor know. It also helped to ease my mind. If a few days had gone by I knew she was due to poop! Also if there were any problems there would be a record of when she went. My dr. told me as long as she didn't go longer than 4-5 days and it was soft it was ok. Just let you dr. know so you feel reassured.

yes it is normal my daughter has gone almost 3 days and I called the doctor she said to mix 1 tablespoon of karo syurp with 4 oz of water and that really helped her to go. She is breastfed and the dr said they can go like 5 to 7 days without a bowel movement she is almost 2 months.
