My daughter is a little over 4 months old now- and has been sleeping through the night (9pm-7am) since she was about 2 and a half months old. My mom told me to make sure I do the same routine with her every night- and make sure she eats plenty during the day.. starting at 7pm we have a little tummy time to kind of tire her out- then we give her a bath- then we cuddle- then a little before 9 I'll feed her, burp her, put her down with a binki and she's set to go..she use to wake up every 2-3 hours until I did this- and she was 9 pounds 10 oz when she was born- also we started feeding her apple/bananas/sweet potatoes- and maybe that helps her sleep too.. not sure.. but best bet is to get a night time routine down- it takes a little getting use to- but it's so worth it! good luck!

My son is 13 months & doesnt sleep through, he doesnt have a bottle through the night but still wont get the hint,,hes been refered to a sleep specialist so you'll just have to wait it out a few more months & if she still wont sleep through you'll have to pay a visit to you childhood nurse :-)

My daughter is 5.5 months and does not sleep through the night. Not even close. Half the time she still gets up every 2.5 hours. Ugh!! the other half she'll only sleep maybe 5 hour stretches. I've tried everything. From cutting her naps during the day, to allowing her to sleep very long, to doing regular 1.5 to 2 hour naps 2 or three times, and feeding her as much as possible during the day... and nothing works. She is a stubborn little girl, much like her mother. I just hope she does not still do this when I go back to work. I need my sleep as I hav ea pretty high stress job!

It depends on the baby. Seems to me like bigger babies sleep through the night more often then smaller babies. My daughter was 9lbs 13.5oz at birth and was sleeping a good chunk of the night pretty early. My son who is 6wks old and is about 13lbs. sleeps for 7hrs at night, he does what the pediatrician calls a cluster feeding for anywhere from 2-4hrs before he is out for the night. Both my children slept through the night on their own. She is 6months old so you can give her baby cereal. Try feeding her some baby cereal and then a bottle (or however you are feeding her breastmilk or formula) after the cereal to top her off.
I'm sorry your peanut is not sleeping through the night, I'm not going to say I know what you are going through because I could NOT imagine!! GOOD LUCK HON!!

All babies are different. Some sleep through the night early others don't. Have you tried relaxing sounds in the background?

my little man didn't sleep through until he was about 8mnths and was eating alot more solid foods - the first time is a trick though it took until he was about 10 mnths before it was the norm. Hang in there you will eventually get some sleep yourself. Although it took me ages longer to sleep through i kept waking up when he usually did but he was sound asleep bliss
