Hello everyone. My son turned 2 months old a few days ago. He was so close to rolling and then he just stopped trying. He was so close. What happened? We are doing all the same things such as lots of tummy time, having him on his back and interacting with him, putting him under his baby gym, holding him in different positions to encourage his neck muscles... I am kind of concerned. Had this happened to anyone?

I wouldn't worry about it. My son learned to crawl and sit before he could roll from his back to his front. That happened around 5 months or so.

He is still young to roll over but even if he was a little older I wouldn't worry about it. Every child goes a their own pace and he probably is just working on another skill right now. My youngest rolled over late and only did it a handful of times, it was like he just did not like to do it. He's 19 months now and very active with no problems.

He's only two months old, I would just give him more time. My daughter didn't roll over till she was 1 and that was to go to sleep on her belly. She was mobile at the time not crawling but scooting around on her butt. I would give him a couple more months before you start to worry about his development.
