My daughter is 8mo & she is breaking out with red bumps. Is that normal since she is teething?

Is breaking out with tiny red bumps a side effect for teething?

"breaking out in red bumps"? okay that could be any number of things.. is this all over or localized?

If localized as Sofie said it could be milk spots or just a rash because of constant drooling... sort of like water blisters-- wouldnt' worry they'll go away-- my son is getting this from his upper lip to his chest because it never seems to be dry

If they're all over the place there's a couple possibilities. Here's some questions to ask yourself:
1) have you given her anything new to eat by way of solids in the last 2 days or so since these "bumps" started showing up? (could be hives -- an alergic reaction, see if it clears up after discontinuing the new food)
2) has she been around any other children lately? Daycare? do they seem to itch? (chicken pox maybe? measiles? if this is the case get her to a doc and have her checked out as soon as you can!)

Hope that gave you some ideas... if your concerned take her to her doc and see what they say. but to be honest it could be as simple as because she's teething...

If you see this, leave this form field blank.
