The only way my 17 week old daughter will fall asleep is while nursing. As soon as I move her to her own bed she wakes and becomes hysterical until I pick her up again. Does anyone have any advice?We've tried the cry it out method. She'll cry for at least an hour. Doesn't work with her.

My son was like that too; I think it's the fact that they're so snug and feeling all safe in your arms then suddenly they're on cold sheets and noone's cuddling them. Swaddling, soft music and keep cuddling them while slowly putting them down in the cot I found were helpful.

hi my son is 6 weeks old and he is just the same but i bought a v shaped pillow and he will settle whether you swaddle him or jst put him in it.

Have you tried swaddling again? Or rolling a blanket and wedging it along her side/back? It tricks her into thinking someone is there. Also, my son will often be soothed with a pacifier when he's moved to his crib.
