This is supposed to be totally normal due to hormonal changes. When you're pregnant, you don't shed hair like you did before...a few weeks after having your baby, it can fall out in huge clumps to make up for lost time. I've heard it can happen a few months, postpartum. You're not alone!

I am having the same problem. I am losing a ton of hair every day and it has been going on for 2 or 3 months now my baby is 8 months now and I thought that this would have ended by now. I too get really disturbed by this happening. I feel as if I am going to go bald before it stops...:( I hope it stops soon I miss my lushes locks

Maybe it has something to do with stress, or your diet, I had the same problem when I went through my first two pregnancies, but then I did research on what I could eat to help my hair maintain it's strength. I also learned that I lost a lot of hair due to medication that I was taking, I was taking Tylenol # 3's and they were causing me to loose hair. Their could be many explanations to why your hair is falling out. Some women can loose hair due to pregnancy, every pregnancy is different, I didn't loose any hair in my last pregnancy. Hope you come to a conclusion.

It's completely hormonal. Because every woman is different and it takes a different amount of time for your body to go back to normal, it might be fast, heavy hair loss for a little while, it might come in phases, or it might take a long time. Don't worry tho, you won't lose it all! And your pic looks like you have beautiful hair!

Yeah, my hair was awesome for about two weeks after I had my son...it only began falling out a couple weeks ago, and now I'm having to make sure my random strands aren't getting in his mouth when I'm feeding him.

I had the same problem, and was told the same thing Alison said - it's due to hormone changes - your body's finally starting to take care of itself after putting the needs of a developing baby above it for so long.
