Hello, I remember burping my little one was a long process when she was a few weeks old. Try the gripe water cause I know it helps for colic, and try massaging her back placing his belly on your lap and holding his head with your other hand. You do circular motions from the lower back to the shoulders and back. Then burp him in other positions. This made a difference for me! As my baby grew up this was not a problem any more, so be pacient!

My son did this for 3 weeks before i realised i was running out of milk. A bottle of formula fixed all my problems. I'm not saying this is your problem but just another thing to check into. I felt sooo bad when i finally realised what his problem was! My poor little baby was starving! I had taken him to the doctor and to a health nurse and they had both told me i had heaps of milk and that it was just colic.

oh i remember those days!!! There were nights that my baby would fall asleep on me then as soon as i would lay him down he would cry! it was def a nightmare i thought for sure i would go crazy with no sleep,,,,but i survived haha, but i know how hard it can be. Try mylicon drops thats for gas relief; i use to put a few drops in every other bottle sometimes that helped. Good luck

OK - this sounds very, very familiar to me. My daughter did the same thing for a few weeks. If you are breastfeeding, try dropping dairy products. Some babies have trouble digesting the additional lactose until they are older. My little one got a lot better after that. She kept crying at night a bit, so I changed my diet until I figured out that she didn't like broccoli, and any caffeine that I drank kept her wired so she would cry from being overtired but unable to sleep. Lastly, for the times now when she gets stomach pains (very few and far between), I use gripe water - I wish I had it when she was a few weeks old, because that stuff works in ten minutes or less!!

what sort of time does this happen? the reason i am asking is because it could be colic. my son who is now 2 had it for 3 weeks he screamed from 6 till 10 every night. does he clench his fist and bring his knees up and what ever you do he just keeps screaming if so it sounds like colic.
try giving him a bath and bring his legs up and down, and don't get too stressed pass him to someone else or put him in his crib and have a break,
