Wil is 8mths old. He had 4 BF a day plus 3 solids. He has only put on 60gms in last 6 weeks and at his age they should be putting 60-100gms a week on. What could be wrong? Could my milk not have enough guts in it anymore? I see the paed tomorrow but thought i'd ask. Just a bit worried thats all. He's gone from the 50th% in weight to the 25th%. He is in the 75th% for his height so its not as tho he's not growing. He's grown 3cm in 6 weeks. Unsure :O(

Has he become more mobile recently? If he's crawling or moving around more then he's burning more calories. Your breastmilk changes with your baby so it's always right for them. Breastmilk is high in calories and before one year of age, babies should get most of their nutrition from breastmilk. Offer the breast on demand and before you offer solids. If he's not eating much solids, it's ok. Solids in the first year are just for them to get used to the texture. Offering more breastmilk will help him gain weight.
