Finger food all the way, grated veges are popular. My girl did this at the same age and still does sometimes (18mths) also using a cookie cutter for veges and sandwiches are fun too. we sometimes have a picnic on the lounge floor she loves the picnic foods too, and it's fun :0)

It sounds like she wants some independence. My daughter is also 13 months old and I feed her whatever I'm eating, cut into small pieces. For snacks, we have various Gerber toddler snacks that she can eat on her own. The only time she will let me feed her is if I'm giving her applesauce or cottage cheese. She's been eating independently for about 5 months.

Have you tried just placing all different types of foods in front of her and leaving her for a while ? She might just want to be more independant about eating also kids love all different colors and shapes in food it makes it fun! also you could try making faces out of fruit and vegs to help encourage her that it can be a fun learning experience and may want her to enjoy her feeding times ,i hope this has helped in anyway goodluck
