ok my daughter is still not crawling she will be 8 months is this normal?

Hiya, my baby is 8 months in a weeks time and she has not started crawling yet & my friends baby who is a week younger has been crawling for 2 weeks. My friends twins are 10 months old & one has been crawling since 7 months & the other has just started so I woulnt worry, every baby is different & they will do it when they are ready x x x

My son is the same way, he gets on his hands and knees and rocks but thats as close as he gets. He scoots to where he wants to go. a friend of mines baby is 2 weeks older than my baby and he was the same way but about 2 weeks ago he startedcrawling so I think it just depends on the baby. I hope that Mr. Cayne will motivate my Parker to get moving, they are going to be trouble togeher when they start walking!

totally normal! my daughter just turned 10 months on april 24, and she just started crawling a couple weeks ago. now that she is though man does she move. and now she sits up on her knees and pulls herself up onto everything. just give her time, she'll do it on her own. or maybe not. some kids never crawl. so dont worry! :)

totally agree...one of the kids in ur family turned over when she was 3 months, my son only when he turned five months and my nephew at 7 months...every kid is different...n actually its great cos u dont ve to b running behind him everywhere lol!

Hey! Dont be concrned because its a known fact that some babies skip the crawling stage and go straight into walking...one step at a time...lol

Ok well my sons only 5 months, but he doesnt want anything to do with crawling. He skipped to trying to walk. Its ok if she doesnt wanna crawl its not a major thing. Some babies never crawl, and some do it backwards(like my neice), she walked and then crawled.

I worry too, my son is almost 8 months and not even close, lol. but he seems closer to walking than crawling

My son didn't crawl until a day after he turned 9 months. But with that being said, crawling is not a critical milestone, like walking is. Some babies don't ever crawl, others crawl early, some late. Some roll, some scoot, my son stretched on his tummy to reach something half way rolling back and forth. Nothing for you to worry about!

My daughter will be 8 months on the 31st and doesn't crawl either. She doesn't get on her knees or anything. All she wants to do is stand.
