it is really what u eat i cant eat chocolate or dairy cuz it makes it hard for her to digest my milk and she gets cranky try to eat and drink the same thing to find out what is bugging him i just took those 2 things out of my diet and she was pooping 6xs a day and the older they get the less poopy diapers you get as long as they poop at least 2xs a day they are good...my daughter still gets green poop and its cuz of the vitamins i take it has iron in it...but just ask his doctor if you are still worried.

" Hind milk, as the name implies, is the milk that is behind the fore milk. It is fattier and more calorie dense milk. In a normal breastfeeding session, your baby will get both. If you pump, you'll notice a two toned kind of milk with some of the milk being kind of translucent and some of the milk being a creamy white. That technically is the hind milk. If you're really into science, pump a bottle of milk and let it sit out on the counter for awhile. You'll see the milk separate into two distinctive layers. . .one being much fattier than the other. That's hind milk and foremilk "

Just something I found and copied and pasted it! Hope it helps?!

I breast feed and I freaked just like you did bc my son poop was highlighter GREEN! Plus when he pooped it sound like a bomb went off. Its normal, whatever your eating is effecting the milk you produce and then intern effecting his system. The seedyness wont go away for awhile just embrace it. lol. Nasty I know. Good luck and congrats on breast feeding.

For the most part he nurses off of me but i do pump so his dad can bond/feed him. I only pump when i can, as of right now he is keeping up with my milk and i have been unable for the last week. The green poop has stopped, its back to a orange/yellow color now. The strangest thing happened yesterday. He didn't poop after 4 pm then didn't poop until 9 am this morning. Plus, he has only had 2 or 3 good poopy diapars. Not to sound dumb, but what is hind milk and fore milk?

I am wondering if you are sometimes feeding expressed milk through a bottle? Cuz My baby girl has the same green poopies and I read it could due to variations in hind and fore milk. Are you using a pump?

Hind milk is extremely important! They need the fat especially!

Green poop for breastfed babies can mean they are not getting enough hind milk. Let your baby empty your breast before stopping or switching sides, there is alot of nutrients for them in the last little bit of milk.

Welcome to Motherhood and Breastfeeding! As long as your baby's stools aren't black or bloody-they are normal! Your baby's system is still growing and getting used to digesting. You will find the stools will change overtime! Also, whatever you are eating can cause digestive issues also. Check with your pediatrician also and let him/her know your eating habits and diet! They can help you sort out any worries! As for it being seedy looking or cottage cheesy ... it will be like that for awhile. Breastmilk is very different than formula on a baby's tummy! Have fun and remember to follow baby's cues! Congratulations!

It could last quite a while as long as ur breastfeeding......sounds totally normal to me; kinda gross, right?! LOL! I wouldn't worry too much about it but if you are definitely bring it up at your next doctors visit!

green poops usually mean they're getting over a cold or something similar. BUT my son was formula fed, so I'm not sure if it's the same for breastfed babies.
