How long do you normally have post partem beeding after a csection? I only bled for about 4 weeks after my daughter was born (vaginal delivery) but im still bleeding 8 weeks after my csection. And its blood clots and stuff too not just blood like a period. Should i be concerned its lasting so long?

If the bleeding lightened up then got heavy again it could be your period. But if it's been heavy and clotted the entire time I'd call the Dr. You may need a D&C to clean everything out. I had hemorraghing 1 week post vaginal delivery (clots lemon to baseball sized) and my Dr told me c-sections have less blessing and less clots. I found this to be true with my 2 following C-Sections. D&C after delivery isn't uncommon if you continue to have bad bleeding.

If you have already talked to your doctor about this, and they advised it should have stopped by now and it hasn't, you should go back. If it was just bleeding I would not worry - I know many people who have bled/spotted for a long time after birth. But if you're still passing clots it would be wise to make another doctor's appointment.
