I did some research and found something that said there is a less than a 1 % chance of pregnancy in the first 6 months after you have a baby... Has anyone else heard this or something different?

Ha! I'm preganant and my son is only 4 months old. It's definately easy to get pregnant right away. See, I heard that if you breastfeed you can't get pregnant, well that didn't work either. So don't believe everything you read.

Well there are some women after given birth they don't have their period for a couple of months but i do know that your more likely to become pregnant as your more fertile during that period. It's very important thou that your body can get back to normal before getting pregnant again and it takes a good two years for your body to heal properly so you might want to check it further with your dokter as he can give you the best advice.xx

Right after you have a baby is when you are the most fertile. Also, there are many people with stair step babies. I have two that are 14 months apart

I had 3 babies all within 6 months of each other. So guess it depends on the person.

Yeah, I don't know what that thing was talking about... I thought it sounded a little weird and contradicted everything I've heard. Just wanted to see what everyone else thought!

That is incorrect. You are most fertile in the beginning and therefore it is more likely that you will get pregnant. That is why if you are going to have sex make sure you use protection until you get on a birth control and it starts to take effect.

mine are 14 months apart. we didnt have sex for 3 months after my son was born so i got pregnant again within 2 months. i have heard the first year after having a baby is when you are most fertile. i have also heard that it takes 18 months for your body to heal after a pregnancy.

I would think that is very incorrect. Once you have a baby, you are more fertile and there are PLENTY of women who get pregnant too soon after giving birth. Breastfeeding is NOT birth control and just think about all of the "Irish Twins!" - Not sure where you got your info., but I would talk to a doctor before you would believe that, especially off of the internet. - I have always heard that your body really needs 18 months to 'recover' from the last birth before you should get pg again. It can lead to smaller and more premature babies. Obviously this is not the case all the time, nor am I advocating waiting. Mine are 22 months apart. Good Luck.
