Sippy cup issues

My son is 9 1/2 months old and he refuses to even try using a sippy cup I have bought at least 10 different kinds and no luck. I have even tried putting formula in the cups and only water in his bottle and he'd rather sacrifice his formula and drink the water just so he can have the bottle. Any ideas? My daughter transitioned incredibily easy, I'm at a loss for ideas.

I agree with Sherri. If he only gets a cup then that's what he will use. You may not want to be so drastic at only 9.5 months but it may come to that in the end.

I would start weaning the bottle and only offering the sippy cup all day. Eventually if he knows that the bottle is not an option he will take the sippy cup.

Try one with a straw instead. My daughter was the same way and never took a sippy cup, went straight to a straw cup.

Give him another 6 months. They're all different. Keep offering the sippy, but don't be surprised if he refuses. My THREE year old won't give up her bottle and I put water in it. Tell me how to get her off of THAT! It's so frustrating. At least yours is only 9.5 months. My 6 year old just got off the pacifier about 3 months ago, granted I am separated from their father and blah blah, you know.

But back to you. Just keep offering. My first gave it up at 10 months.
