Sleeping Patterns

My baby girl goes to bed every night at 7pm. I try to keep her up later, but she just cant stay awake. The problem is she is starting to get up at about 5-5:30 am. She is wide awake and ready to go, and she isn't even hungry. I try so hard to get her back to sleep but she isnt havent it til i put her in bed with me. She falls back to sleep til about 7am. She takes about a 1/2 nap around 10am and a long 1 1/2 hour nap at 2pm. She eats great, I know thats not the problem. Any one with some ideas?

Hehe... My little one is asleep around 6 pm (sometimes 7 pm!). There are times he sleeps until 7, but usually he's awake around 5:30-6:00 am. He eats, plays, giggles... We are awake for 30 min to 1.5 hour. But then he falls asleep for another one or two hours.
I think a lot of mums would call us very happy. Don't worry and let her get her sleep. And enjoy that early mornings. Try with rescheduling when days get longer, it will be much easier to keep her awake if it's not night. And keep the curtains down in the room, so she knows it's time to sleep. It might help.

I have had a similar problem with my little boy - he's 4 1/2 months. I tried everything under the sun, including going to sleep school which only helped for a week or two! I have since discovered a CD call Sounds For Silence which has tracks of just white noise on it! Soooo much better!!! Still occasionally have a problem, but now he's settling himself more often & taking less time to settle when he's screaming! The tracks are awful for adults, but apparently babies love it!! I'm not sure where you're from, but might be able to get it online. The trick is to have it loud, particularly if they're crying! It has to be louder than can turn it down once they're asleep, but not off.........hope that's given you one option at least!
