We use Aveeno baby SPF 55. It was rated one of the best sunscreens for babies. Kehlson in 8 month also and we spend a lot of time out side. It works great! Doesn't run in his eyes when he is in the pool. It is hard to wash off though. He pretty much always smells like sunscreen.

Since your baby is 8 months old you can use any type of sun screen. We use Coppertone. The pink bottle. Generic though.Stay away from the Huggies lotion. It does not work well at all. Make sure you put on sun screen every 20-30 minutes. Also if you are worried about harsh chemicals and such there are Organic Sun Screens. California baby makes a great one. The only down fall is the cost of it.

my little man has plenty of hats but he absolutely hates wearing them so they always come off.he also has a pair of thomas the tank engine shades from last summer .. but he doesn't like wearing those either.
we usually use johnson baby or nivea baby sun cream .. there about 40-50spf.
he's 16months old.
like rebecca says a lot of sun cream says from 6months + etc but what you gonna do before that? .. i just used to put it on regardless.
i'm pretty lucky though that oliver likes it when i slather him in sun cream .. he finds it ticklish.

i found a sunscreen that is 100spf then my doctor laughed at me and said 30 was all i needed for my daughter couse after 30 it really doesn't matter.... i'm using the 100 spf this mommy is taking no chances.. banana boat has sunblock especially for babys its 60spf they also have one for kids that can be used on babys too and yes definitly put a hat on your baby sunblock can't prevent a sunstroke

I bought a high SPF sunscreen for sensitive skin. I know the bottles say not to put it on children under a certain age, but as my pediatrician said, "What are you supposed to do with babies born during the summer? Keep them in-doors all day?" He said it was fine to put on my 5 month old, just to get a high SPF and always put a hat on the baby.

get the highest SPF you can find, makes sure they don't get it in the mouth or eyes. always a hat. for the face they now make a stick that looks like a large chapstick and it goes on quick and easy. my son hates it when i rub his face, so he's more agreeable with the stick.
