I have to take thyroid meds and I'm nursing. I don't think its safe but doc says its fine
Just wanted to know what other nursing moms thought. I was just diagnosed with an underactice thyroid and have nursed exclusively my four month old baby girl without so much as taking a tylenol. Any feedback is great.thanks

I would recommend you check out natural ways to get your thyroid going......medicine is toxic and even though the dr.s tell you that very little get to the baby I was always still a little leary myself. If you need any help you can email me @ wagstr4@yahoo.com

Go to kellymom.com they will have the answers for you. It's an awesome site, they will help you with your question. If it doesn't excrete into your milk it's fine.
