no you don't need to boil bottled water, just make sure on the bottle it says filtered by reverse osmosis system, that gets rid of any nitrates.

The reason for boiling the water is to "cook" the milk, like coffee, you get a different taste if you use cold/room temperature water.  If your baby vomits a lot after a bottle feed it is better to use boiled water.  My boy doesn't vomit after a cold feed but I imagine someone giving me coffee made with cold water, yuck :-) So I keep my kettle full with boiled water and when I need to make a bottle I "heat " the water up if it cooled down.

There is no need to boil bottled water, its already clean. Its good to go! You also could use the gallons of nursery water. It has flouride unlike regular bottled water which is important for your babies teeth. Yu even use brita filters for the water you get out of your own faucet, it is the cheapest.

I've never heard that you had to boil the water when formula feeding, i just use water from the fauset, but i did hear that its not good to put bottled water with the formula
