My son keeps getting an iritated butt no matter what creams I use or how many times a day I change him. I am thinking of switching to cloth because I hear its better for their skin and wondered if there is anyone else out there that has had the same problem or uses cloth diapers who could give me the 411 on the best kind and if it it helped??

I also use prefolds with thirsties covers and I like them too... and the laundry isn't so bad :P

We use BumGenius 3.0 diapers and LOVE them. They are so soft against her skin and she never has diaper rash. Instead of always using the microfiber inserts that go into them we also use regular prefold diapers. The prefolds are nice because I can bleach them every so often.
The few times that we have had to use disposable diapers, my daughter has gotten a horrible diaper rash. I am thankful that we cloth diaper.

Yes, i used them for both of my kids. My oldest kiddo had major reactions to wipes and diapers. We fought chronic diaper rash for a year then I finally invested in some plain old prefolds and super bummi's whisper wraps. His rash cleared up really soon after the swap. I think the best kind depends on you , how much you can spend, and what ease you need.

I have been researching online and that brand seems to be highly recommended. Other then the benefits to my son I realize I can save like 2500 bucks in 2 years on buying disposables and can keep nearly a ton of waste from a land fill! The more I look at it the better it sounds!
I am going to buy some flats and some pre folds and see witch one I like the best! I am actually pretty excited to try them, even though I am nervous about the laundry lol!

I use Bum Genius cloth diapers and love them... we have never had a problem with diaper rash. Cloth is amazing and super easy to use I recommend them to everyone!!!
