Third month growth spurt?

Hi Mommies. My daughter will be 3 months old next week and for the past couple of nights she has not been sleeping for more than 1.5 hours at a time. She is normally an excellent sleeper and had recently begun sleeping through the night (10-12 hours). She is also not napping during the day and is cluster feeding (she never did this before). Could this be a growth spurt?

When the public health nurse came to visit me she said that babies go through growth spurts at 3 wks. 6wks and then 3 mths. My daughter is 7 wks and it was surprising to me how true this is. I found that after each growth spurt was over that she slept longer periods after. So I guess a lot of hard work for a few days pays off.

my son is 10 weeks old and he when he went through his first growth spurt he slept all day and night for like two days...then for two days ate like every half hour to hour...then he grew like 2 or 3 inches...maybe yours is a growth spurt!!

That is very normal. Usually you see a couple of days of eating more followed by a couple of days sleeping more. It happens to my kids all the time.

We had an excellent night last night again. YAY! Maybe it was a growth spurt that is now over! I hope so.
