I just have to say because I keep seeing people write about the Chinese lunar calendar....that is a bunch of bull it only works if its a coincedence, mine both said I was gona have girls and I have 2 boys lol

Whichever sperm implants first so cross your fingers a girl breaks through. Every thing I looked at said I was having a boy, including the ring test. Now we have a bouncing baby girl....

I was told by a friend that you increase your chances of conceiving a girl if your partner stops eating meat for 6 months prior to trying for a baby how true this is i dont know.... But her partner dose not eat meat an he has only had girls, again..... i dont know how true it is an if it really works.

As much as I believe in "be happy for what god gives you", I have two boys and I want to try for a girl. I love my boys to death but just having a little girl would complete our family. I'm trying to figure out how to have a girl so good luck to all the women that are trying for their little girl!

I'm mean I'm a believer, And I don't think that commenting on a post that has nothing to do with religion and running your holier than this mouth is very "holy"doubt God cares about your comment. Plus how is knowing your "God " given body and using nothing but timing not leaving it up to th powers that be? If they are all mighty why does it matter? Hmmm

I'm sorry but I couldn't help but to laugh at these post...lol. I'm not trying to sound mean but why not appreciate what GOD gives you. If It's his plan for you to have a certain gender, let it be. Be grateful for what he gives you. There is alot of woman that would love to have a healthy baby not caring about the gender and they aren't able to. So praise GOD for every child he gives no matter what the gender is. They are our miracles not something we pick out at the grocery store.

Most women actually ovulate 12-16 days before the start of a new period rather than 14 or whatever days after a period. So if your cycle is 35 days long you will probably ovulate on day 19-23. The only way to reliably tell when you are about to ovulate is to chart your mucous changes and basal temperature every morning so contact a natural fertility clinic and learn how to do it.

I didnt read all the suggestions, so i dont know if someone has said this: but I heard that you ovulate 15 days after the first day of your last period. and also that female sperm last for like 3-4 days and male sperm only 2-3, or something like that. So try to conceive on the 12th -13th day (so count 12-13 days after the first day of your next period)

Male sperm swim faster but die quicker, Female sperm swim slower but last a lot longer, so the key is to understand when you ovulate, if you want a girl then you need to be doing it before ovulation (a few days) and if you want a boy then you need to do it once ovulation happens.... Hope that helps...

If you have sex a few days before you release an egg, then your chances of having a girl increase, as the female sperm live longer whereas the male sperm just swim faster. If you have sex right near when you ovulate then your chances of having a boy increase. But it is difficult to determine exactly when you ovulate as not everyone ovulates on day 14 and the chances don't increase by that much any way.

LOL...I looked at the Chinese Calender after I had found out I was pregnant. It Stated that I was going to have a boy (I was due in August) and I ended up delivering a Girl born in July. The chart did say July would be a Girl for me...but Traditionally, people last 9 months being pregnant...not 8 =] It was a fun thing to look at before I found out the sex at 20 weeks

hi well..my mum in law told me when she was younger her dr told her to get a boy count the days from the first day of your periods till the 14th day, & 'do it' on the 14th day..a girl u count till the 12-13th day 'do it' those 2 days but not 14th my next door neighbour had 3 girls & mum in law told em that ...she ended up with a boy so it must work.....

I'm not sure how acurate this information is but, i read in an article that women who consume more calories tend to have boys more often than women who consume fewer calories. The reasoning behind this is that "male" sperm need more nutrients to sustain life than the "female" sperm, so the "male" sperm die off sooner and have a lesser chance of fertalizing the egg. It isn't a for sure thing thing though... good luck!

the sex of the baby depends on what runs in the fathers family. the only way you could gaurantee on having a little girl is if you get that procedure that lets you choose the babies sex, but that cost thousands of dollars. or you could adopt a baby girl
