I know how you and your husband feel. The loss of a pregnancy is devastating and you want nothing more than to be pregnant again. My doctor told me to wait until I had one full cycle before we started trying again because you are at an increased risk for another miscarriage if you do not. I waited my time and I was pregnant again 6 weeks after I miscarried. I now have a beautiful, healthy, brilliant 6 month old little boy.

I used that time to really focus on getting myself and my husband into the best health that we could be in. We were already extremely healthy but I decided to kick it up a notch and really focus on our diet and exercise and I believe that it helped us conceive on the first try after my miscarriage.

Good luck and God bless.

I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my first baby at 11wks and opted not to have a D&C. I went and had an ultrasound and it showed i had had a complete miscarriage. There was no leftover stuff in there which if left in there would have caused an infection. The doctor said there was no reason we couldn't start trying again straight away.

All the best, Take care

I am so sorry to hear about your miscarriage.

I had a 'missied miscarriage' where I still had pregnancy symptoms and no miscarirage symptoms until 10.5wks, although we had lost the baby at about 6wks. We were adivsed to wait until I'd had 2 periods before trying again. Well we started trying immediately, and fell pregnant on our 2nd month (I only got one period after the miscarriage). The first month (before my cycle returned) I couldn't even tell when I was ovulating, so my body was a bit out of whack, but if we had that time over again, we still would have started trying straight away.

If YOU feel comfortable with trying, then go for it. :-)

Good luck!! and have lots of fun!!

Ashley,
I'd go by the advice of your doctor. Personally, I had a miscarriage that "aborted" at 22 weeks (the baby stopped developing at 15 weeks but I opted out of a D&C b/c my body will take care of it naturally & there wasn't an infection). About three weeks later i became pregnant. My doctor said since I didn't have an infection & the tissues came out like huge clots, I was okay to try again when I felt like it.
Again, you know what your body can do & if in doubt, ask your doctor or midwife.

My doctor told me to wait two months. I was so afraid I waited 3 cycles, So we started trying again in May I was pregnant with my son that September. Id say wait til you have at least 1 or 2 regular cycles.
