i have one daughter allready and i have just had a 19 week scan and have been told i am expecting a baby boy. i am thrilled by this and want to start buying things but i am a little doubtful whether this prediction is correct and was just wondering if anyone had been told they were having a boy but had a girl instead??? how accurate are these scans?

It happened to my cousin last year. Was told to expect a boy and had a girl. I don't know what they saw on the ultrasound that they mistook for a penis! LOL :) Congrats on your new arrival!

It is very rare that they tell you a boy and you have a girl. In most cases where it was misread they say that it will be a girl and it is a boy. So if you were told a boy, it probably is a boy. Congratulations!
