My daughter had room temp when she was at the hospital but I have NEVER warmed up milk for her. I always feed it cold or room temp. She's adjusted and has been fine. Warming milk is a preference on what you want to do. There's nothing wrong with not warming it.

if he drinks it at room temp theres no point warming it.
it'd just be a hassle having to try and heat bottles up so count your self lucky that way.
my little boy was the same. and he's even started drinking his cows milk straight from the fridge (at times)

As long as it isn't too cold. If you can't feel the drops on your wrist then it's fine.

some infants get gas from formula that is not warmed (including mine). if your baby doesnt seem to have a problem with room temp formula, theres no harm though. as long as its refrigerated afterwards (duh)

why warm it, if you don't have to? Do what works for you and your baby!

Our hospital got MAD when we thought we were supposed to warm it. They said NEVER warm it cause it can get hotspots. Plus when you warm it you take nutrients away from it. Just like eating raw vegetables is better for you than hot ones. The vitamins get lost in the heat. Dont do it. Room temp is fine.

it's a personal preference on the baby's part. whatever he or she likes.
whether it's cold, warm or room temp does not make a difference as far as retaining nutrients goes. as l;ong as they are getting wha tthey need, they'll grow just fine.

Our daughter was born in July (middle of winter here in Oz) so I slightly warmed her bottles, as the weather got warmer I gave her room tempreature bottles, so much easier. The only bottle I warm now is here 4am bottle and thats becuase it's been in the fridge, and even then it's only warmed to take the chill off it.

If its formula that you are mixing as you feed your daughter there is no reason to warm it, however if you store it in the fridge ten you would neeed to warm it a little before feeding it to her.
Everyone always trys to offer advice like they know what is best for you and your baby, but if the hospital told you it was fine then go with what they said!

The midwives at the hospital I gave birth in, recommended giving it to him at room temperature. I pre make a days worth of bottles each night and refridgerate them. I heat them up when needed in the microwave, to take the chill off, so it's pretty much room temperature or just slightly warmer. I used someone elses microwave once and it was just a little bit warmer than usual, he screwed his nose up at it lol.

I don't think the temperature is going to make a huge difference. Although I do know it's better for your digestive health if you drink at room temperature. Don't know why they would ask you specifically to feed room-temp formula to her, though.

I was exactly the same. I continued to give it to her at room temp. I had a few people tell they do it that way in hospital to save money and time, not sure how true it is, but when i did try and heat it for my LO she didnt want to drink it.

when i was pregnant i actually read an article in one of the pregnancy magazines that said milk doesnt have to be warmed. i also just gave her the milk in the hospital unwarmed. i do warm it if its ice cold out of the fridge because she is on the liquid similc so we pre-make it, but she doesnt seem to mind it cold if shes fussy and hungry. its all a matter of the baby's preference.

My son has never been gassy over room temperature formula, nor has it affected his immune system, he's only been sick once in 8 months and fought it off in 2 days, he also like his food room temp. He won't eat it any other way..... there is no harm done by following your babies preferences. The only thing they do not recommend ice COLD formula that is all

my son had room temperature formula to start with but i had to warm it up because it was giving him a really bad belly, i started warming them up at 8 weeks old and since then he has never had a bad belly not once and hes 9 months old now. all babies are different and can like different things, my sister had to warm it up till it was nearly at burning point because if she didnt my niece would not of drank it, she even let her health visitor do it and she took it really hot but not warm and even she was baffled lol, but my nephew he likes his room temp and doesnt like the milk warm, like i said all baby like different demperatures, if you want them to drink the milk you just have to go with what temperature your baby likes. if your baby likes it at room temperature then continue to give it if he seems to be unhappy with it then warm it up. i personally warm his milk up just because i dont want him to be in pain from the belly aches and he likes it better warm than cold. good luck and best wishes :)

it all depends on the baby how he/she likes to take the feed cold or warm .

This is simply a matter of preference. Some babies like their milk at room temperature, some like it a little warm, some like it very warm. My baby for example, likes his milk at room temperature and his food stone cold! lol. There is no reason to warm it other than whatever the baby prefers.

all babies love warm milk unless they start with room tempurature milk. it's not good to give it to them at room tempurature because it actually doesn't help build their immune system as effectively. Also, warm milk helps them get their gas out.

We use room temp formula also. The only time we warmed up was when bought an already made formula and had to be refidgerated after, then we warmed up. That was a pain so we never bought that again. I was scared of the same thing, everyone kept asking me arnt you going to warm that bottle and I would look at them like I was doing something wrong, but now in days room temp is just fine and more convinent. They say sometimes that some babys might digest easier because bottle is warm but if your infant is used to it, just do what makes them happy.

yeah it does save alot of time , and we used bottled water so we would fill up all the bottles in the morning with how much he would drink a feed so when feeding time came all we had to do was drop in the formula, shake and done!!!

when i switched my daughter to formula i thought warming it would make it more appealing, but having to warm it every time, no matter the time of day/night, how exhausted we were, how impatient she was, or otherwise inconvenient seemed like more work than payoff. we slowly backed off the warm temp, and it made life just a tad easier (and if we needed to grab a bottle of water from a store on the way home and it was cool she didn't seem to mind). this is just what worked best for us, and my daughter was older when we started formula (I don't know if that makes a difference?). hope it helps...and hope you are able to enjoy the early months and not stress as much as i did ;o)

I have never warmed up my son's formula, he hated it warm so we have been doing room temperature since the beginning and he is 8 months today and he is one Happy Healthy Thriving little boy. I don't see anything wrong with giving it to them at room temperature, now cold milk is a different story but my ped said there was no difference between warm or room temp, each baby has different likes.
