my 7 month old has really dry skin (might be baby ezcema?) and she is constantly scratching. there are patches where it's so dry, her skin has cracked on her arm. i think i have tried everything to the point i may have to ask the pediatrician for a prescription. i've used aquafor, triple cream, johnson's lotion and baby oil, aveeno baby lotion and little remedies and more. i am planning to switch baby detergent in case this is causing her skin to be itchy and dry. anyone have any ideas?

Okay, this is going to sound weird but do you breastfeed? If you do put some breast milk on the affected areas and it will clear it up. Breast milk has healing properties; check out this website:

my fiance bought our son this cream called Skin Milk for his dry skin (due to his eczema) and it has helped tremendously! u can most likely find at the local grocery store in the lotion aisle. it comes in a small white and blue container. we also use Aveeno non-scented body wash and lotion since his eczema has been recurring and that helped with the itching and irritation. I hope this helps!

Hi Constance,

My son used to have eczema from about 3 months of age until I started shopping from a different store. He was on a prescription steroid cream at one point too which is so hard on their little immune systems. There are so many harsh and harmful chemicals in so many different everyday products that people don't even realize. Since we switched stores and started shopping for healthier, safer products, he hasn't had an outbreak of eczema in almost a year! There isn't one magical cream out there that will get rid of eczema, you usually have to get rid of a lot of toxic chemicals in your home and use products that are safer. Toxic chemicals aren't just in cleaning products, they are in baby shampoo, body wash, toothpaste, detergent, etc. I would love to help your daughter get rid of her eczema.

Please visit www.switchingstores.com/sarahniska. It was one of the best decisons I have ever made for myself and my family. I feel so blessed to have found them!

I hope to hear from you soon!
