She is 8 months old. For some strange reason she flings her head back why is this? Her eyes are closed most of the time. If you can help please do.

my daughter did the same thing, and her pediatrician said she should outgrow it, and if for some reason she didn't to have it looked into more. chances are it's just her discovering all these new strange things and it's nothing to worry about it. but if she continues or the behavior changes, take her to her pediatrician just to rule anything out.

I've worked in infant rooms and I've seen a lot of babies do this when they're angry or upset. We just made sure we had a good hold on them or they were sitting on a mat so they wouldn't get hurt.

It may be her way of showing her frustration if she's doing it only when mad.

She has excellent control with her neck. Crawling all over. She does it when she is awake. Mainly when she is " mad"

When does she fling her head back? When she's asleep? When she's awake? When she's having a tantrum? When?
How is her neck support? Does she have good neck control in general?
