What were the first words out of your mouth when you first saw your baby?

I had a sceduled c-section and was told I was having a girl. When she came out the doctor said it was a boy and I was puzzled. He said he was kidding it was a girl and as soon as I heard her cry I was over joyed with happiness and when they brought her to me I said, "So your the one that has been kicking me."

I asked my husband what the sex was & he said he couldn't tell, eventually the midwife opened bubs legs & hubby said "oh, my god it's a girl", I then said "she's here, our Mylee Grace is here" & cried. When I had a good look at her the next day, I was also thankful that she wasn't "ugly!!!" Judging by your pic, he's gorgeous anyway!

I didn't get to hold my son for about an hour after he was born because I had a c-section and they rushed him out while I was being put back together. When I got into the recovery room and they brought him in and I got to hold him, all I could say was.."So, you're the one who's been kicking the crap out of me the last 5 months..." lol

My first words were "omg hes purple" lol everyone laughed! took him a few mins to turn pink. Then I just kept saying my little boy. I love you.

WELL WITH THIS LAST BABY I FINALLY GOT A GIRL...AFTER 4 BOYS...AND WITH ALL OF THEM I WOULD ASK IS IT A GIRL...EVEN IF I KNEW IT WAS A BOY WITH MY FIRST 3...

I had a c sec..But when i heard that beautiful first cry i said Oh My God and looked at my boyfriend who was also all teary eyed and said We have a baby we have a baby!! We were both so happy!!

When they put her on my chest all I could repeat over and over is 'it's a baby, it's a baby...' the doctors and nurses looked at me like I was mad. My husband still tease me about it - 'look it is a baby!' ;)

I said was the ultrasound right (we were told we were having a girl) my husband said yes the ultrasound was right and then I cried.

i didnt really say much with my first because i was so out of it but with my 2nd one of my first questions was does he have a cone head? he was engaged for about 2 wks before he was born so i was soo concerned that he wasnt going to have a nice round head but he did. i know i asked if he was cute and when they put him on my chest the first thing i noticed were how big his hands were. i was just in shock over his hands, i couldnt stop staring at them....lol. then i realised how cute he was

I can't remember with my daughter. She wasn't breathing too well and I was holding her on an angle upside down to help her drain all of the mucous. I was totally convinced most of the pregnancy she was going to be a boy so I think I was muttering over and over something like 'I can't believe she's a girl/Hello little girl/she's so little'

With my 3 month old son - only being such a short time ago I can remember exactly. 'Hello, welcome little one, thankyou so much for coming today it's so nice to have you here' (He was two and a half weeks overdue so I was just utterly greatful he had arrived without any intervention!!)

the first thing i said was " she is little" they had told me that three weeks befor she was born she was 7 1/2 pounds so we were expecting a good 8-9 pound baby she come out at 6 13 so thats what i said and the story so you understand not funny though.

I was afraid that i would drop her because i was soooooo tired and shaking. I was just crying my happiness and i repeat something like "is she ok? I'm afraid that im gonna drop her, is she ok? Oh sweet little baby" I wont newer ewer forget that feeling

my first I didnt say anything fun "oh baby" was all I could get out.. With my 1st daughter she got "u look like ur brother".. and my second daughter got "thank you baby"(obviously for getting out!!)

i wasnt very funny...i just said "is she ok? shes beautiful"

but as i poped her out and they cut the cord my sister shouted "its a boy!" only to get told otherwise by a midwife....that put a big smile on my face. very funny moment.
