I was still breastfeeding my son when I became pregnant with my daughter. He was 11 months old when we found out. Good luck!

i have all my children about 19 months apart because i did not ovulate the whole year is was breast feeding then after i got my first period we managed to fall pregnant some women just don't ovulate untill u finish feeding so it depends for how long u want to feed for but there is the chance of u ovulating while breast feeding it is different for every one

I got mine when my son was around 20 weeks. He had been sleeping through the night so it caused my hormones to kick in. Since you are pumping at night, you have been holding it off. Once you stop pumping at night or introduce cereal/food during the day and she nurses less often, you will get your period. My OB/GYN told me that I could still get pregnant even if I wasn't getting a period.

Well, the ovulation sticks don't work for me. We tried them for a while to conceive my daughter. The one month it said I did not ovulate, we got pregnant with her!

I am ebf my 4 month old and still have not had my period. But it is true you don't need to if your trying to concieve

Every Body is diffrent! Don't be fooled your still ovulating....u need to talk to your doc! If U truly want to have another child dont wait.....go and get the help. They do have ovulation test sticks now so u no if your ovulating but best to talk to your doc. If they dont satisfy u go see someone else. Good luck!

i am exclusively b/f as well and i got mine when he was 2 months old... but with my daughter i didnt get it until i was done nursing at three month because of a poor milk supply. so it is normal. maybe you can take one of those home ovulation tests or contact your gyne.

I am still nursing & my boy is 8 months, no period yet. I understand that it only comes back when you stop nursing completely. Enjoy it while it lasts! There is a change still for you to fall pregnant even if you don't have a period.

Well, my husband is in Japan with the Navy. He will be home for 2.5 weeks in December. I was hoping that I would have started my period by then so we can try to have baby #2, but I know there is a slim chance. I just wanted the first 2 to be close in age, but the Navy said NO!...haha!

What alot of people dont realize is that even if you dont see your period you still are ovulating, thats why they tell you to be extra careful after you give birth when you begin to have sex again, but it varies with every woman, my period came back at 2 months, and my son has been sleeping through the night since he was one month. If you still are worried aobut it you should really talk with your doctor about helping to know when you are ovulating so you can know the right time to have sex, its a little unromantic but it works, best of luck.

I breastfed for three months (after which we encountered supply issues and I was not able to produce milk). I got my period two weeks later. I think as long as you're breastfeeding it shouldn't be troublesome not to get your period back for awhile. Everyone's different though and if you're concerned, ask your healthcare professional.

I got my period at 6 months. everybodys different. i know people who havent had a period for almost 2 yeas after giving birthx

I got mine with my oldest when she was 7 weeks and with my youngest she was 8 weeks!I got pregnant with our youngest when our oldest was 3months and she was EBF as in she fed 12 times a day!Haha dont use breastfeeding as a contraceptive!You can still ovulate without getting a period

My daughter is also EBF, she is 7 months and I havn't got mine yet...I too would like another baby! I was EBF as a baby and my mom didn't get her period until I was nearly a year. I think it's my body's way of telling me it's not ready to carry a healthy child yet. When it is, then I'll get my period or start ovulating...until then...best of luck on conceiving again...whenever that happens for you!!!

At 13 months I still had no period, however, i did ovulate and that was all it took to get pregnant with #2.

I got mine after 4 months... My daughter is breastfeeding and also taking cereal and veggies... Shes been sleeping thru the night since 5th week :)

I got my period after only 1 month of nursing. I thought it was just left over from what was inside after the birth, but my doctor confirmed it was indeed my period.
