When did you know?

With my son I just knew I was pregnant when I was 2 weeks along. I had been feeling exhuasted, cramping, & my chest hurt...but those things I brushed off until I was 2 weeks along...that day I was in a car accident, and all I could think was I hope the baby is okay.... I argued with myself the way home. Took a test and sure enough, I was pregnant. Went to the doc & I was 2 weeks along. How about you? When did you know you were pregnant and how?

How are you guys measuring weeks? Typically, a cycle is 4 weeks, right? So, you wouldn't ovulate until the 2nd week, right? So, I guess you're saying you knew a day or two after conception? Is that right? Wow. I didn't know until a few days before my missed period... so almost 4 weeks.

With my first, I was about two days away from my expected period and I had some discharge from my nipples. We were not planning to get pregnant, but I immediately thought OMG I'm pregnant. I waited until I missed my period and then took a pregnancy test: Pregnant.

With my second, I got a positive pregnancy test about 3 days before my missed period.

I knew I was pregnant with both of my children before the stick said +. I knew with my son about a 10 days before my missed period and I knew with my daughter 4 days after conception. I remember waking up and giving my boyfriend a huge kiss. I didn't tell him until almost 3 weeks later when I got the + test.

I suspected it about a week after I ovulated and was certain at about 2 weeks. I had an implantation bleed about a week before my period was due. Then on the day my period was due I had a tiny bleen then nothing. My cervix (for those who find cervixes interesting, I can't be the only one?) was small, hard and clamped shut. I knew for certain then. Couple of days later my breasts were sore, I felt vaguely queasy, peed on a stick and had a +. Never went to a doctor as I wasn't sick.

I had a feeling something was wrong on 29th december the day before my sisters wedding. I felt sick but put it down to christmas and eating too much. I was still sick on her wedding day and the day after. I thought I could have been pregnant but left it till january to see if I had a period....Well the 19th came and went. I got 2 tests on 20th and both were possitive. I made an appointment to see my gp for 21st and I was 5 weeks pregnant. So I first suspected I was pregnant when I was 13 days.:)

I'm now mummy to a beatiful 10 week old daughter. Unfortunately that sickness that started in december finished 3 weeks before i gave birth, but she is worth every minute that I spent looking into the toilet bowl! :D

I was 19 when I got pregnant for the first time, I really didn't know what to expect. I found out when I was a month into my pregnancy and it happened to be on my hubbys birthday too. Before I found out though, I was going to school and was tired all the time, didn't take much to get me tired. Also my breasts were really sensitive especially my nipples. I knew that I missed my period but I just thought that it was because I stopped taking the pill (can't do the pill thing every day at the same time). Well as I said next thing I know I'm pregnant happy birthday hubby in 9 months your going to be a daddy. I just found out that I am pregnant again a few days ago, I knew that if I didn't start my menstrul cycle in a week that I was pregnant. At least this time it didn't take me as long to relize it.

We decided to start trying and because I have irregular periods I thought I'd try an ovulation kit. So I calculated when I needed to start using them and then every morning I woke up and rushed to the toilet to pee on a stick. Went through a whole book and nothing. No smiley face indicator. So I bought another pack (bloody expensive too) and sure enough a few days later the smiley face. But it was very close to when I thought my period was due. Very confusing and I briefly worried that I had a problem where the time between ovulation and period was too short and wouldn't allow for implantation (the stupid things you worry about when you're trying!). I waited a few days past when I thought my period must be due and then did a test, I was pregnant! I went to the doctor a week later but when the doctor heard my dates she thought I was wrong so I had a dating scan. I wasn't 6 weeks I was 8! Turns out the ovulation predictor kits didn't work because I was already pregnant! So I wasted all that money DOH!

To be honest my then BF ( now my fiance) would joke around sayin that i was pregnant that the reason i dont feel good was becuase he had impregnanted me with his child!! lol what a weirdo i told him yea right because i was never sure when my periods would come but they always would and there was still two weeks of december left so i was just waiting and really wasnt think about being pregnant at all. Then i started getting this cramping pain in my left side like were my ovary would be and it would hurt!!! i thought period was coming and then i went to the bathroom and i bled so i thought i was having one put a tampon in and then check again realized i hadnt bled anymore so i wasnt worried figured it was gonna get heavier the next day nothing and the next thing nothing!! i was getting scared cuz the pain was still there seriously i thought i had a cyst or ovarian cancer!! baby never crossed my mind. finally he convinsed me to get a test so i did but it was late so i said i would do it in the morning ( i had already tried to schedule an appt to see what was wrong with me and they said the earliest it would be was in jannuary) so that morning i woke took a test left it there and then jumped in the shower i came out and there was a very faint second pink line. i thought oh it messed up or no im not, i showed him and he was all excited he said see i knew it!!! i thought he was wrong cuz it didnt look right to me! i read the directions and sure enough it said doesnt matter if the lines to not match in color intensity two lines mean yes i still was in denial called the help line on the back of the box and it said the same thing as soon as i hung up the doc called said that they had a cancellation and i could go in that day!! it was like a sign!! so i went in they did blood test and sure enough i was pregnant!!! he was ecstatic i was scared!! i didnt kno what to feel and no we have a beautiful four month baby girl and ready for another!! so from now on i will definitely trust his judgment!!

I had really bad back pain like my period was coming but it never actually came so I knew something wasn't right cause I'm extremely regular. So I took a test and sure enough I was pregnant. I was about 3 weeks along.

My son had been conceived two weeks before, so I guess that made me 4 weeks pregnant. (That system drives me CRAZY! How can you be pregnant two weeks before you're pregnant?) I felt like I'd been hit by a flu bug. We had been trying for 7 months with no success (irregular periods didn't help), so I didn't want to get my hopes up. Two weeks later I took a preg test, and it was negative! :( Boohoo, poor me, I thought. It must be the flu after all. But I still refused the xray at the dentist, just in case. Two weeks after that, I took another test, and this time it was positive! After I found a doctor, it was confirmed that yes, I was pregnant that whole time. Next time, I'm just going to trust my gut.

With my first child, who is now 14 months old, I did not know until I was 3 months along. I had been using the NuvaRing, but my script ran out, so I thought my period was being weird. I was exhausted all of the time, but I thought it was depression from living at my in-law's. I told myself that if I didn't have a period in March I would take a test. I didn't make it that far. We were having lunch with a friend, and I started to complain that I couldn't eat as much at one time because I just felt overly full for long periods of time, then I'd be ravenous. He asked a few other questions, and then he said, "You're pregnant." My hubby was there; we just looked at each other. I went to the drugstore and bought a test. Sure enough... We didn't know how far along we were though. We didn't get in to the doc's until I was 4 months along.

Happily, I am pregnant again, and we knew within the first three weeks. As I don't go to the doc's until Thursday, I do not know exactly how far along I am.

I knew I was pregnant but told myself I wasn't. Back in the beginning of March, I took a pregnancy test and it came back negative. We were both pretty upset. So, about mid-way through April and into the beginning of May, I kind of had a feeling that this time I was. My body felt different. I couldn't describe how it felt different, it just did. However, I waited till May 6th to take a pregnancy test. (I was 8 days late) When I glanced down and saw two pink lines...Let's just say, I don't think I've ever been as excited, happy and scared all at the same time!!

With both my son and the current pregnancy I knew at 5 weeks. With the first my I had been having symptoms but passed them off as my IBS because my nan had died, so I figured my being sick and the exhaustion was the grief, it was only when I realised my breasts had been hurting for a week (and they never hurt) that I even considered I might be preggers (I had been told I couldn't have kids). With this pregnancy I again passed off my symptoms as something else, I had sickness again but just thought I was ill because my son had been really ill and so I thought I had caugth whatever he had, I thought as my breasts didn't hurt there was noway I would be pregnant, we decided I should do a test because I was either really ill or pregnant happily it was the latter.
