if she can roll around fine & turn her head while on her stomach, you don't need the sleep positioner. i never used one & my son slept fine from birth onwards. after a while he started sleeping on his side and stomach. the doctors say that once they can roll themselves over, to just let them sleep in the position they sleep in. i still sometimes roll my 7 month over on his back if his face is against the crib bumper, but that usually lasts about 20 minutes as he rolls right back over against it. so i just let it go. so ditch the sleep positioner & let your daughter roll around as she pleases so that you both can get some zzzzz. good luck!

I never used a sleep positioner as I rapped my little girl and slept her on her back till she was almost 4mths. Then once she had good head control I stopped rapping her and started sleeping her on her tummy during the day, she slept much better on her tummy and I think most babies do. Once they can roll they find a comfy position for them self. My little girl is almost 6mths old and has been sleeping on her tummy day and night for a wile now. So if you feel that she has strong head control and is rolling well then yeah I say take away the sleep positioner and sleep her on her tummy or side how ever she likes it best.

you should ditch the positioner asap...she can do to much so there is no need for the positioner anymore.

I never used a sleep positioner. I suppose you could ditch it at any time.

On the one I purchased it said from birth - 6 months. I think this is because it's the average age to start rolling over from back to tummy. Although most babies I have seen do it earlier. But you might try to let her sleep without it. You can always but it back if you think it helps her sleep better.

I think as soon as they can roll over fine then it's okay to let them sleep on their own. My daughter slept on her side from birth (she was born with the ability to roll on her side) we tried sleep positioners but she would just get mad that she couldn't get comfy. Then when she was about 6-7 months she decided that she wanted to sleep on her tummy and has pretty much been a tummy sleeper from then on. Just keep loose blankets away because she is only 5 months and you still have to be careful but I think that she is probably done with the positioner.
