I've been reading through the posts and see that rice helps with acid reflux. i was noticing it said it on the formula that rice was added, thus that must be why it cost twice as much for the same amount. Does it really work cause I have been thinking about doing that for my daughter.

From my understanding it depend on the weight of your child. Doctors usually prefer the child to at least double their weight. The reason for this is so the stomach and the digestive system is grown more. Medically its not good to give a baby and kind of solid before this, even in their bottle. It can lead to dehyration as well as future liver and stomach problem (like GERD or acid reflux issues) later in life. My son was 3 1/2 -4 months when he started cereal, at that time his weight was doubled. Otherwise, every baby is different and everyone uses a system that is best for them.

I started placing a scoopful of rice in his breast milk when Eli was 2 months. It helped him stay full longer and he loves it.

I never did. We did babyled weaning, like Vicki mentioned. The recommendations I've read, though, suggest starting at 6 months. I kind of figured there wasn't much to it, so I might as well get her something with calories. We started with avocado.

Never did. He never really had any 'baby' foods and is still here to tell the tale. We did baby led weaning, much less hassle!

I started my little one at 2 months because of acid reflux as well plus it helped her sleep a little longer at night.

Over here in the UK it is recommended by the World Health Organisation that weaning should start at 6 months, however, we're told that if it seems baby is more hungry it can be done from 17 weeks/4 months of age.

I started mine when they had their six month growth spurt, which was usually around 5 1/2 months.
