Buy size 1. Better to have them too big than too small. If they are small, they are really tight and they will leak out the sides. However, if they are a little too big, you can pull them up further and tighten them more.

I found that a little big worked fine for my daughter and she is very lean. I also bought diapers from www.diapers.com. They have in between sizes in Pampers Swaddlers so I was able to use those longer before changing to Cruisers. My daughter also started soaking through at night as she started sleeping for 11-12 hours straight...I bought a size up of the overnight diapers...worked like a charm!

I think when you are not putting them on easy you should go up a size I have had no leaks with my bubby.

we never went by the weight, it made no sense to my son because he had a chubby lil tummy, they'd get tight. Once we realized they were barely staying on and covering him wed go up a size, bigger was always better . We just switched him to size 5 in pampers, they are a little big but so much more comfortable to him, and pampers 4's go up to 37lbs ( my son is 24lbs and they were too itgh on him ( the weight gap is from 22lbs-37lbs thats a HUGE gap there is no way a diaper can fit every baby in that weight range

We know when our son is ready to go up a size when he starts peeing/pooping out of the diaper. If it seems a little tight, go up a size. It won't hurt!

I was having the same problem but that was because I was buying my son the cheap diapers so they werent working for me. My favorite kind of diapers are Luvs and they work great for me I have just changed to size two because my son was just peeing and pooping right out of the diaper. That is how I new I needed to change the sizes.

i can't go by the weight on them at all for my son - i have to go by tightness...if they're a little big it's not usually a problem. as long as they don't leak then stick with them a bit bigger...if they're too tight they're going to leak anyways

there should be a weight on the sizes... try to keep your baby in the middle of the weight that the size is for.
you don't want them to be too tight, so can't u just pull the velcro-y thingies tighter on the size ones for him/her??
