Hello all! I'm active duty with a 5mo old, stationed in Korea. How many of the rest of you are active duty?

Is there a specific thread where I can ask for advice about being ad with a baby? I'm considering but my child is just 6 months. My heart is not too set on "leaving" him even temporarily in the care of others.

Hi all! My husband and I are both active duty. We have three children, 2 from a previous marriage, and we're stationed at Ellsworth AFB, SD. I've been here for over 5 yrs now and we're hoping to get orders soon but right now there is no end in sight!

Hi there, I'm active duty too. I'm been in for 18 years. We are dual military and we have 2 sons ages 5 and 8. Our youngest is autistic and we recently got stationed in San Antonio. I'm in Personnel and my hubby is a Security Forces mbr. Nice to meet everyone!

Dual military here. Currently at FE Warren, WY. I have two boys, 10 & 15 y/o. Was stationed in the UK before this assignment. I agree with Tricia about the depn care plan. It is difficult when you have to PCS and then ask a stranger to be available to take care of your kids on short notice. My kids enjoy the military life. They don't care for the deployments but they understand the big picture.

I have been in the Air Force active duty for about 9 yrs now. I am a single parent with a 13 yr old. It is not easy...especially since I always have to complete a family care plan and ask people to look after my son in case I have to deploy, tdy, etc. Being overseas is awesome because they offer a lot for families, when I returned from Yokota AB Japan 3 yrs ago and went state side...I have never felt more isolated. Doesn't help that I am AF stuck at an Army post though. If you have any questions let me know. Good luck to you and your family!!

I am! My daughter is 2 1/2 years old. We are stationed in MD, but I am doing a six-month TDY in Georgia, so she's in NH with my mom. My husband is also active duty.
