First time 43 year old working mother of 4 month old in Huntsville, AL. Looking for input on childcare. My son is currently staying home with this daddy but he may not be able to continue to stay home with him. I am very weary of leaving him with any one as he has always been with me and his daddy. Any input?

If he can't stay home with his daddy or you, you don't have a choice unfortunately. Ask other mothers that you may know with children this age about local day cares or home day cares. If you hear that there are good one, tour them. Go when it may be there busy time (eating, naps) and see how the staff handles it. Word of mouth is best. Talk to moms that you see at his pediatrician's office.

I am a 26 year old stay at home Mom in New Market, Al which is north of Huntsville. I do not know what area exactly you are in but I babysit. I have three kids. A 6 year old daughter who will be in 1st grade in august and a 4 year old son who will start pre-k in august. My youngest will be three in September. She still stays at home with me. I would be driving to pick my son up daily from school which is about 1 1/2 miles round trip. I have a clean driving record and no accidents.
