Looking for Red Deer Mom's with Toddler around age 2.

Hello Albertans,

I am a 23 year mother of a 27 month old boy named Jack.

I stay at home with him and because of this he doesn't get socialized a great deal with a variety of children.

I am wondering if any other mothers would be interested in getting together for some play-dates; I would be grateful.

I guess it will also be for myself as well.

Most of my friends with children have infants and it is hard to relate to their problems when I have already past those milestones with my little boy. They are in the faze where new mother talk about teething, breastfeeding, and their birth experiences. Where as I am am concerned with potty training, public tantrums, and picky eating.

The friends I do have with Toddlers are working moms, and there has been tension with to each other because of our different choices (career wise), and there has been some passive aggressive remarks about myself having to much time on my hands, or that they would go crazy if they had to stay home, that it is easy for me and that they have "careers".

So needless to say my friendship, as well, is on the market.



If anyone in or around the Red Deer areas is looking to socialize their toddlers I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi my name is Jennifer and I have twin 20 month olds. A boy Joshua and a girl Alison. I am a stay at home mom, and my husband is away 16 days straight ( he works the rigs ). Therefore I am alone and do everything by myself. I am finding that I may not be giving my kids enough socialization, play and exercise. It's hard with two. Would love to find somewhere to go. Help!!!!!

hi, im new to red deer, and would love to make new friends,
i have a 18 month old and 2 older ones but they will be in school, so im looking to get my daughter mixing with other children,

Hi, Have you come out to the Village Gate Parent Link Centre in Parkland Mall? The centre is open Monday to Friday 10 am to 3 pm and it is a chance for parents and their children to get out and play and meet others. It is by donation only and we also run a Come Play with Me which is a drop in play group on Mondays at our centre at 5409 50th Avenue in Red Deer. We have lots of moms and some dads drop in with their kids to play and meet others. Hope to see you soon.

I am also a stay at home mom with a boyfriend in the oilfield. my son is 19 months but enjoys playing with older children. MSG me if youd like to have the kids play sometime!

Hi, I have a daughter that is just about two, and we attend a playgroup at my friends church and all of our children range in the 2 and under age. We mom's range in age as well I believe myself and my friend are the oldest at 29. We there are a couple of us that are stay at home mom's and others that are working moms. We are a small group usually 4 or 5 mom's and the kids well we are growing in size of kids as we are having second and third babies. I am sure if you are interested you would be more than welcome to join. I will warn you though some times the conversations aren't always all about the children but it is a nice relaxed time and enjoyable for the kids they all love being there and playing.

Danielle - Have you checked out Momstown? Go to momstown.ca and click on central Alberta. They have tons of fun activities, including playdates. Good luck. My little guy is only 14 months otherwise I`d be game...
