All About Mom's Slogan: Pause Before You Post!

Hi ladies!

I just wanted to thank you for getting this community off to a great start! It's funny how you have all asked the very questions that were on my mind when I started this group!

I also wanted to thank you for how encouraging and helpful your replies have been to the original posters! I am very determined that this community will always be one where moms can ask any question without fear of being judged or ridiculed. We are here to support each other and offer opinions, advice and (most importantly!) words of encouragement! Being a mom can be a tough job- and who better to understand that than other moms?!?

Here are my expectations for this community- I will try to keep them brief!
~ Everyone should feel safe and confident in posting any mom-related question, comment or story knowing that they will receive only what they ask for- be that advice, opinions or just empathy!
~ If the poster is looking for advice on a particular topic (for example, she is having trouble sticking to her Weight Watcher's plan and is looking for new recipes) please respect that she has chosen Weight Watchers and only reply if you have recipe ideas- she doesn't need to hear that Jenny Craig is better since she has already committed and paid for Weight Watchers! On the other hand- if she's looking for opinions on the various weight loss programs then chime in with how you lost 60lbs with Jenny!
~ Pause Before You Post! Please make sure that your posts are kind and kept positive- whether you are speaking to the original poster or commenting on a reply already made. I once commented that Circle of Mom's slogan should be Pause Before You Post! So I've adopted it as the All About Mom slogan! Take a second to re-read your reply before hitting post- just to consider the effects your words may have and whether they might be misinterpreted.

I just want to once again thank you for joining this community! Ultimately it is up to each of us to make this a place we enjoy checking into on a regular basis! As this group grows I'm sure I won't be able to keep track of all the conversations so please feel free to let me know of any problems you come across. We are off to such a great start- hopefully this will never become an issue!
