I used the Bradley method. Most people who use that also follow the Brewer medical diet. My diet said that I was to eat liver once per week. Do they still do that? I have read that some women on yahoo answers are so afraid of vitamin A that they avoid orange and green vegetables and do not eat a nutritious diet. I thought vitamin A is safe unless you megadose. I ate green and orange vegetables daily and also ate liver once per week as my doctor advised. All four of my kids are healthy. I also had vitamin A in my prenatals.

I think if you are getting it naturally, you are fine...I have been using the Brewer Diet with my 2nd pregnancy (I am at 39.5 weeks - yay!) My first pregnancy was riddled with complications and I missed the birth of my daughter as a result (they put me to sleep). This time, none of the complications have reared their ugly head, BP stable, weight gaim has been only 17 pounds - and not because I have been restricting caloric intake. My prenatal has Vit A also, so I am getting an adequate amount.
