Our 9 year old DD is having her hair dyed. She wants fuscia streaks in her hair. She's going to have it done by my hair dresser and we're going to make it a girls day...I'm going to get blue or maybe green. My mom said she's okay with it...what can she say...my mom had pink hair in the 70s. My MIL is freaking. She's positive that DD will get suspended from school...I checked the school rules and it states nothing about colour. I told MIL that hair grows and if it will make DD happy, what's the big deal. It's so funny seeing the reaction of my family and DH's...I was a love child of the 60s afterall. Whereas, I'm thinking immaculate conception for DH (his parents think kissing in public is gross).

Well my DD got streaks put in by me last summer. I am a hairdresser. They were fire engine red, luckily faded before school started. Aperently in southern georgia, that is a no go. Right now we are arguing over she wants her hair to be red, black and blond. Like the chick from paramore I guess.
