This is a community for support for anyone who has had to deal with the loss of a child or knows someone who has lost a child or about to loose a child from Anencephaly: Is known as a neural tube defect. One of the most common occurring in about 1 out of every 1000 pregnancies. It is the failure of the neural tube to close properly resulting in the absence of the major portion of the brain and the top part of the skull.
