Hi! I am a new member to Angels with Angelman Syndrome

My name is Kathy and our son, Travis, has Angelman Syndrome. He is going to be 25 years old in April. My husband and I have been married 34 years and have 5 children. Doug, our oldest son, is 33 and has Down Syndrome. In between we have a 30 year old daughter who has her Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from Washington University. A 29 year old son who works for IBM as an architectural engineer and our 28 year old daughter who is an Early Childhood teacher. We are the very proud grandparents of 8 grandchildren! 5 boys and 3 girls.

really thats is so unbeliveable .i would really like to talk to you i have 5 kids as well and one of my twins has angelman .I have always wonder about makayla future and how she would act look and how her brother and sisters would deal with it.how did you keep you family so grounded i find it hard to do sometimes i don't quite no what to say to my oldest which are 8 and 5 and they don't seem to be handling makayla 's sitatuion very good any advice!

Thank you Kathy for joining our group. I look forward to your input and advice for us all. Especially since your angel is older and most of ours are still preschool age.
