Do you prefer to take your pet with you on vactaion or leave them at home/kennel?

It depends on where we go. If we go camping the dogs go with us but if we're in a hotel and plan on doing activities that they can not do with us they stay at home. My best friend lives next door and they stay with her and she feeds our cat till we get home.

We leave the cat at home with someone to check on her, she hates her carrier and most of the time we are visiting family who have large dogs and that would not be a fun vacation. We got our pit cross this year and we take him with us because he fits in with the rest of the families dogs. On our summer vacation we had four families and 5 large dogs (smallest is 50 lbs) in a medium sized house at the beach.

when we were living in europe, we had a dauchsund! if we were traveling somewhere that wasnt a long car ride, we would take him with us! otherwise he stayed with his "god parents" who were our very good friends and next door neighbors! we also watched their dog, when they were out of town! we even had the fence line taken down so the dogs could roam to both houses whenever they wanted too!! I REALLY miss that! Right now we have a put bull and he is just tooooo big to take with us on trips and mostttt hotels and places will not allow a dog that size, nor the breed! if we go out of town he stays with grandma! :)

I take my baby everywhere with me LOL... She is a Pit Bull and she is amazing she sits in the car like a person it's very funny... If I'm going out of state I will leave her with my mother.

I have always left my animals in the care of someone I trust. Neither my puppy nor my cat like car rides! My cat has went with us before but she has a hard time for the first 10-15 minutes and then she is like a dog. Looking out the window and meowing at everything. Then on the way back from where ever we have gone she gets aggravated. We end up with scratches and sore spots. but yeah I prefer to leave my pets home under good trusted care.
